Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use a pool service?
Many of us simply can’t afford the time to maintain a pool on a regular schedule. Nor do we have the knowledge of the different chemicals and equipment maintenance needed to keep a pool clean and safe for our family. Not to mention lugging acid and chlorine home and finding a safe place to store it. With a pool maintenance professional all the work and worry go away leaving time to just enjoy the pool. We have several maintenance options available.
Who should I call to get started?
The owner Derek Franchino 239 200-4205. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Also go out to your home to assess your pool and recommend the appropriate service.
How long should I run my pool pump?
In the summer months your pump should run for at least eight hours. In the winter the pump hours can be reduced to six hours.
How often should I change my pool filter?
We recommend you change your filter once a year. In some cases the filter may last longer but if gone too long it will cause issues with the pool even with proper chemical balance and maintenance.
Will you fill my pool when the water level gets low?
As a courtesy the technician will run the water while servicing the pool. In most cases this is not enough time to replace the one to two inches of water lost a week during the winter months. The owner can purchase a water timer and we would be happy to set the timer to replace the amount of water needed. However, we cannot be held responsible if the timer malfunctions and overflows the pool. This happens very rarely but is a possibility.
What if my pool turns green?
Call us. There are many reasons why a pool turns green. Heavy rain, high phosphates, poor circulation, heavy bathing load and chemical imbalance.
Who do I call if I have a question or concern?
Our owner Derek Franchino 239 200-4205 will be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes, you will receive a free month of service for every referral that signs on with us.
Kari is doing an excellent job on our pool. She puts in the time and effort it takes to get our pool looking it’s best every week. We are extremely happy with Alotta Pool Service.

Alotta Pool Service is by far the best pool service I ever had. My pool water was in a horrible state. On the first visit Alotta Pool Service immediately knew the problem and treated it. Alotta Pool Service really cares about customers and always returns my calls no matter how busy it is. I definitely recommend Alotta Pool Service!
